Shimanos butterfly jigs are well known for their capabilities and actions and the the Butterfly Monarch is designed to put something a little different in front of them. On the retrieve, the jig is designed to swim in a circular motion, even while jerked, to imitate a fleeing baitfish. On the fall the jig will fall horizontally but will begin to spiral once it starts slowing down, keeping it in the strike zone longer.
